Inframon was established in 2006 by Gordon Mckenna to provide Microsoft Operations Manager
(MOM 2000/2005) consulting services.

Throughout 2006 and 2007 Gordon worked with Justin Kimber and Sean Roberts to help Microsoft IT define their own monitoring solution. During the definition phase of the project it very quickly became apparent that the success of the implementation was a function of the value it delivered to the business units. As such the team engaged the various business units to understand their collective pain points and designed a service offering to meet their needs. Together they have a combined experience of over 25 years in IT Services Management.

At the core of the service offering existed three key elements:

  • Technological Solution
  • Supporting Processes


The team successfully implemented the infrastructure and related support processes and on boarded all 9 business unit into the centralised environment.

The team learnt that even the biggest IT organisation in the world struggles to define their service offerings in terms of business value to their customers.
